1. Conference Overview
The RCELL International Conference 2027 is an academic online conference scheduled to take place on 13–14 February 2027 via Zoom. It is organised by RCELL in association with The Criterion: An International Journal in English. The Conference is open to academics, researchers, postgraduate students, independent scholars, and practitioners with a genuine interest in the thematic areas announced in the Call for Papers.
2. Abstract Submission
By submitting an abstract you confirm that:
- The work is your own original research or creative scholarship;
- The abstract has not been simultaneously submitted to another conference in a way that would create a conflict;
- The abstract does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party;
- All co-authors (if any) have consented to the submission;
- You have disclosed in the abstract submission form any substantive use of AI-assisted writing tools (see Clause 6 on AI Disclosure); and
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Submission of an abstract does not guarantee acceptance. Abstracts are reviewed by the Programme Committee, whose decision is final. Acceptance is communicated by email.
3. Originality and Plagiarism
All submitted work must be original and free from plagiarism. Presenters warrant that neither their abstract nor any full paper subsequently submitted has been plagiarised, in whole or in part, from any published or unpublished source. RCELL reserves the right to withdraw acceptance at any stage if plagiarism or academic misconduct is identified. Any abstract or paper found to contain plagiarised content will be disqualified and the participant may be barred from future RCELL events.
4. Language and Quality
Submissions and presentations must be in English. Abstracts should be clearly written, well-structured, and within the word limit specified in the Call for Papers. RCELL may decline to accept or present work that does not meet a minimum standard of academic clarity, irrespective of technical acceptance.
5. Scope and Relevance
Submissions must engage substantively with the announced theme and thematic streams. The Programme Committee reserves the right to decline abstracts that do not align with the Conference's academic focus, even if they are otherwise of good quality.
6. AI-Use Disclosure
Presenters must disclose in their abstract submission any substantive use of AI writing tools (such as large language models) in drafting, structuring, or generating the content of the abstract or any associated paper. Disclosure should specify the tool used and the nature of its contribution. Undisclosed AI generation of content that is presented as the author's own constitutes academic dishonesty and will be treated accordingly. Editing assistance, grammar checking, or reference formatting by AI tools do not require disclosure under this clause, but remain the submitter's responsibility for accuracy.
7. Registration and Payment
- Acceptance of your abstract does not automatically constitute registration. A separate registration and payment step is required to confirm your place as a presenter.
- Registration fees are as published on the Conference website. Fee categories (Early Bird / Regular; Presenter / Listener; Indian / International) are determined by the date of payment and the nature of participation.
- Registration for listeners/delegates is open regardless of abstract submission. Listeners are welcome to attend all sessions and receive a certificate of attendance.
- RCELL reserves the right to adjust fees before the early-bird deadline. Any changes will be announced on the website and communicated to registered participants.
- Payment must be completed by the applicable deadline. Failure to pay by the regular deadline may result in withdrawal of a presenter slot.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
Cancellation and refund entitlements are governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and should be read before making any payment. Key points are summarised below.
- Cancellation by participant: Refund entitlements depend on the date written cancellation is received at conference@rcell.co.in. Please refer to the Cancellation and Refund Policy for the applicable tiers and timelines.
- Transfer of registration: Registrations may not be transferred to another person or to a future conference edition.
- Cancellation by RCELL: If RCELL cancels the Conference in its entirety, all registration fees paid will be refunded in full, net of payment processing charges that cannot be recovered. If the Conference is postponed, registrants will be offered a choice between retaining their registration for the new date or receiving a full refund.
- Refund process: Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method within 10 to 14 working days of approval. Refunds are subject to any applicable transaction charges deducted by the payment gateway.
9. Presentation Requirements
- Presenters are expected to present their paper live on Zoom during the Conference on 13 or 14 February 2027.
- Paper presentation slots are approximately 10 minutes each. Full format details, including time allocation, slide requirements, and session structure, will be communicated with the programme.
- Presenters are required to attend a technical rehearsal session (proposed: 10–11 February 2027) to test connectivity and familiarise themselves with the platform.
- Slide decks or supporting materials must be submitted by the deadline announced in the programme.
- Presentations must be conducted by the registered author. Proxy presentations are not permitted without prior written approval from RCELL.
- Presenters are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection, appropriate audio quality, and a professional background during their presentation.
10. E-Certificates
E-certificates will be issued to registered presenters who deliver their paper at the Conference and to registered listeners/delegates who attend sessions. Certificates are issued by email after the Conference (proposed: by 21 February 2027). The name on the certificate will match the name provided during registration; corrections will only be made if reported before the certificate is generated. RCELL cannot guarantee certificates for participants who do not fulfil their participation commitment (e.g., registered presenters who do not present).
11. Recordings and Intellectual Property
Sessions may be recorded for archival or dissemination purposes. Participants will be informed at the beginning of each session if recording is in progress. By participating in a recorded session, you consent to the recording of your contribution. RCELL may use recordings for academic and promotional purposes related to its educational mission. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify the organisers in advance; RCELL will endeavour to accommodate requests where technically feasible.
Presenters retain copyright in their own papers and presentations. Submission to the Conference does not transfer copyright to RCELL. RCELL does not claim ownership over your work.
12. Publication: Full Papers
Following the Conference, selected presenters may receive an invitation to submit a full paper for consideration in a special issue of The Criterion: An International Journal in English (ISSN 0976-8165). Papers accepted for publication in that special issue will receive a DOI registration. Such invitations, where extended, are subject to the following conditions:
- Invitation to submit is not a guarantee of acceptance.
- Submitted full papers will undergo the respective journal's independent editorial assessment and peer-review process.
- Papers must meet the journal's scope, formatting requirements, ethical standards, and quality threshold.
- Authors may be asked to revise their work before a publication decision is made.
- Papers that do not pass peer review will not be published.
Not all presenters will receive an invitation. The Programme Committee's decision on which papers to invite for full submission is final and not subject to appeal.
13. Conduct and Collegiality
All participants (presenters, listeners, and organisers) are expected to engage respectfully and constructively. Discriminatory, harassing, or disruptive behaviour during any Conference session will not be tolerated. RCELL reserves the right to remove any participant from a session or from the Conference without refund if their conduct is deemed harmful to others or disruptive to proceedings.
14. Programme Changes and Cancellation
RCELL reserves the right to modify the Conference programme, including session order, times, and content, at any time and without prior notice. In exceptional circumstances (including technical failures, public health considerations, or force majeure events), the Conference may be rescheduled or its format changed. In the event of cancellation by RCELL, registered participants will be offered a refund of registration fees paid; RCELL's liability will not extend beyond the amount of the fee paid.
15. Technical Issues
The Conference is conducted online via Zoom. RCELL is not responsible for technical difficulties experienced by individual participants (including internet outages, device failures, or platform disruptions beyond our control). We recommend participants test their equipment in advance and have a contingency plan for connectivity issues. Support from RCELL's technical team will be provided on a best-efforts basis during the rehearsal and conference days.
16. Disclaimer
RCELL organises this Conference in good faith and with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by applicable law, RCELL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in or inability to participate in the Conference. Our maximum liability to any participant is limited to the registration fee paid by that participant.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with the Conference shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Maharashtra, India.
18. Amendments
RCELL may update these Terms as the Conference develops. Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Continued participation after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
